Anyways, we noticed right away that the mag that was in the 9mm had a major issue in that the slide would not release forward when the slide release lever was engaged.

I could actually see where the slide was ramming into the plastic part of the magazine...

tried the 9mm mag in the 40 cal compact...same result.

Anyways, I really like the weirdness and feel of these Steyr polymers, just curious if anyone else has one or any experiences with them.

Will probably be a future purchase as I have another 1911 coming, but I need something smaller to carry in the car.
